Sermoon S1 latest firmware no longer connecting to Mac OS 26.5 beta 2 and beta 3, works on Windows

yah so what ever recent firmware that sermoon s1 has gotten, caused it to no longer connect to Creality Scan 4.2.0 on Mac OS 26.5 beta 2 and beta 3, during beta 2 of Mac OS I was still able to use 4.2.0; but then sermoon s1 had a firmware update that allows laser scanning without trackers and well now it won’t connect to MacBook via usb-c. the MacBook knows sermoon s1 is connected as hardware report shows sermoon s1 is connected but creality scan no longer sees it. I checked permissions, uninstalled and reinstalled their seems to be an issue with recent sermoon s1 firmware with Mac, My MacBook is M3 Max 64gb of ram.

Sermoon S1 does work with scan bridge on the Mac and Both usb and wifi works on my Windows PC 9800x3d RTX 4090 with latest firmware. something is wrong with how Mac is accepting the latest sermoon s1 firmware

Have you submitted a bug report in Creality Scan? I think this would help the most to get the issues resolved if it’s not any other things. Have you completely restarted the Macbook?

Yes I have, also I was on live chat support too been a long while now no real replies for help, and yes I done every possible way to get it to work it just seems latest sermoon s1 firmware is the main issue with Mac OS because it’s detected but not asking permissions

I asked the technical support directly. They send me this wiki article:

Can you try this?

Edit; it worked , Sudo was the issue it must have turned off or something long while ago ——Sadly won’t work because I’m missing RPC server in memory——
