SEt up Falcon pro2 and Lightburn

I’m new to the laser world but thought this might be a fun retirement hobby. 60-Watt model. I can connect laptop ok, sometimes camera work other times not. 25working 75 not working. Tried to calibrate camera several times and realized my movements were not in proper relation according to the provided instructions. tried to re-run can’t get camera to work. Deleted profiles and re-made them still no camera. Device manager sees camera just no picture, kind of like it works but not. Earlier on I thought I had camera all set up and went for the alignment section and it seems as though the software thinks it’s a x400 by y800 machine. Alignment way off and hard crash into back of machine. When using the head placement buttons the front right, center, and left are spot on. when you move to the left right for the center of the machine, that moves the laser to the far back. Yes, the setup is for 400x400. I tried making a phony little keychain 100x50, but it cut it out 100 by about 90mm. I’ve been at this about a week now and it’s a good thing I keep my hair is short or I would not have any. I haven’t found any real help on the YouTube although there is some good stuff there, I just haven’t found what I needed. Any help/suggestions would be greatly apricated. I still think this might be fun but only if I can get it working.
Thanks in advance,
Bill

I have a very similar problem. Lightburn does not see the Camera at all and I do not understand why I cannot calibrate it. If someone can help us that would be great. Thank you very much.

I am having the same problem, and can’t get help anywhere. Creality Customer Service is useless, nothing from Lightburn, and can’t find any help doing an internet search. This is so frustrating. About ready to pack the thing up and send it back while I still can.

We are having the same problem. Has anyone found a fix yet?

As it turns out, the computers that I tried were not the problem and Lightburn worked as expected. The trouble was the camera in the Creality pro-2 was not working all the time. Sometimes it would work and sometimes not. Mostly not. I did not figure this out without removing the camera bar and testing on up to 5 different computers, one of those being a mac. always in the device manager in all the computers except the mac the camera would show up when connected but verry seldom was I able to get a picture either in Creality’s software or Lightburn or any camera app on the computers. So, after jumping through all of Creality’s hoops they sent me a replacement camera. After installing the replacement camera and replacement usb connector they sent (you will need several small metric allen wrenches for this replacement) the camera works again. It works on all of the computers I have but the mac has gone back to its home, so I don’t know about that one. So, the camera bar was reinstalled on the engraver and the camera has worked every time without fail.

Happy times for your retirement

We have found a fix that works for us with our Mac:
In Lightburn 1.7.06 on the Laser window, Devices is set to (Auto). Click on the arrows. With the laser not switched on, the other options are cu.debug-console and cu.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port. After switching on another option appears cu.usbmodem1234561. Select this option and, for us, the laser sprang into life and started working.
