Setting up plate height when I pause and when the print is done on K1 Max

I am trying to set the plate height as low as possible when pausing and ending my print. I have inserts to insert and there is not enough height to insert them as the plate only rops about half way during pause.

Doesn’t the extruder move off to the side when you pause…? I know on my K1 Max it drops about 3" and moves off to the side of the machine when I hit pause or pause using the slicer in Creality Print 5.xxx

you can remove the lid and work from there.
