Recently I tried to slice this STL file using Creality Print 4.3 look the print failed because the extruders stopped extruding on the side front and backsides. I know this is not a printer issue because an older slicer it worked just fine. I tried downloading an A newer slicer but it seems to not have any provisions for . STL files.
I would upload the STL file but this site does not allow that extension, if there is a later version that is working and ready I will be glad to try it, until then I will be trying something called orca slice.
I’ve seen that “stopped” extruding before on thin wall sections, if you looked at the speed view of the sliced model do those walls go blue? If they do it is still printing but at glacially slow speeds. Have you tried 5.1 it works fine on my V3KE (not on my V3SE though), it doesn’t do the slowdown and yes it does read STL files. I use the latest version all the time on my V3KE, works fine.
One of the things I truly love about this new printer is its speed how do I adjust the speed down for things like super thin walls? Thank you for responding, I am a disabled (hemiplegic on my left side) senior citizen who used to be a senior technician where are some big tech industries. Nowadays my philosophy is I do what I can and ask for help when I can’t.
The quick and easy way to half the speed is through the fluidd interface. You can adjust the speed or flowrate there on-the-fly. You can also adjust it in the slicer, but you didn’t say which slicer you use.
I’m trying to use the C realty Print Slicer 4.2 that came with my 3D printer. it is exceedingly fast but from what i can tell not quite ready for prime time.
