Slicing in the cloud versus in Creality Print

I may be getting confused here, but I’m a noob.
What is the point of cloud slicing (which I paid premium for) when it seems to slice within the (free) macOS application?
Is cloud slicing somehow better? Speed is not a factor for me.

Slicing can be demanding on your computer’s resources. If you’re using a less powerful machine, cloud slicing can free up your local system since the heavy lifting is done on remote servers. If you work with a team, cloud slicing can make it easier to share and collaborate on 3D printing projects since files can be accessed from anywhere.

Ok computer resources are not an issue for me as I am a home user.
If that is the only reason, I am not sure why I upgraded
