Small issue, but very annoying

Hello printy people,

I bought a Creality filament vacuum bag kit from Amason a few weeks ago.
The one with electronic pump.
All works quite well …

So, I go to order some more of the same bags … na … NO GOT !
Creality don’t have them neither does Amazin or eBae.

There are other brands available, but I want the original !!!
I only bought the damn kit a month ago and I am not a happy Jan.

If anyone has a pointer to some, I might just kiss them :face_vomiting:

Cheers.

P.S.
Names have been changed to protect the innocent.
Just for you “notafananymore”…

If anyone has one of these kits and has found extra vacuum bags anywhere for sale, please let me know where…
(possibly not your corner shop unless it is in my suburb)

I will be most grateful.

Hi
Try here, only took 10 days to the UK.

Hello Kevin_Eames,

Thank you for the reply, but I already have an auto pump (as per the picture above) also the bags themselves are a bit different as to the vacuum hole.

Cheers.

Finding the original bags seems hard! You could try contacting Creality support—they might have some or know where to get them. You can also ask in local 3D printing groups.

Hello Nora_mila,

Thank you for your reply.
Contacting Creality is not really a worthwhile thing to do unless you have a troubled printer.
If you are lucky they will reply, only to ask for photo’s etc, etc…

I only bought the Creality kit (bags and auto vacuum) about a month ago, why was it for sale anyway if there was no backup ? … I guess I was had …

Generally I would have expected this if it was some “No Name” brand.

Cheers

Hello every and all,

As a follow up to my original post…

I have since been using these …(bags only, I have the original Creality pump)…

They are far easier to use as they don’t have the stupid big sealing cap (which is not needed).
Therefore the bag with filament inside can goo back in the box MUCH easier.
Also, I don’t have to screw the piece onto the bag and then fit the pump to it, only tohave to take it off again. Now I just leave it on and simply place the pump over the marked area…
Apart from which, they can be bought everywhere and cheap.

Cheers.

Just seen your post and chippin’ in with my two penneth. … I have been using those bags for some time and find them very effective, albeit with a manual pump (good exercise). I really don’t understand how the valve works and find that I have to tip the pump slightly to get it to work.
Happy printing.

Hello NigelB,

Thanks for your tuppence of.

For my AU2cents worth, I will chime in this … I have found that a very light smear of silicon gel around the rim of the pump can help a bit.

Cheers.
