I got a K2 Pro w/ CFS a few weeks ago and I’m pretty impressed with the quality of prints that I’m getting at significantly faster speeds than my old bed slingers. Printing and performance of the printer is not in question and I’m sure you don’t feel like hearing someone else’s review anyway…
I’m having trouble understanding the purpose of the ethernet port if it isn’t functional. Last week I had asked a tech in the IT department where I work to help me get it connected to our internal LAN. He confirmed the that everything on our end is working the way it should and all I needed to do is plug in the K2 and he’ll set up the rest. The problem is the port doesn’t work. I sent a help ticket to Creality with all of the details and troubleshooting that was done to confirm it is a problem with the upper main board. They replied a couple days later stating that they were sending a new board. I got the new board this morning, installed it, contacted the IT tech so he knew to be ready for the new IP address, and it couldn’t connect. Same problem, different board.
Creality did a good job with their responsiveness so far, but it brings me back to why have the port if it doesn’t work? Just for checking if it was able to connect to wifi, I tried my phone as a hotspot. It worked fine so connectivity is not the problem. Is it a feature that’s not turned on in the firmware? I don’t really know because the firmware is proprietary. If anyone has some idea or if they are using the ethernet port successfully, please let me know.
