[SOLVED] The currently selected printer does not support multi-plate printing

Brand new Creality user here. Just got my K1 Max and have been enjoying it. Still learning Creality Print.

Didn’t know what the “Add Plate” button did and clicked it. Saw it made another plate, cool, cool. Deleted the second plate and kept doing stuff.

Went to print my object over the network after slicing and I get a red text saying “The currently selected printer does not support multi-plate printing”. I double-checked, I have just the single plate.

Started a new project, reimported the object, left the plate button alone (can we disable/hide that button, please?), sliced, and tried to print. Same error, can’t print.

Closed the app, restarted it, same stuff, same result.

Rebooted computer, started app, same stuff, same result.

I cannot print from Creality Print to my printer on the same network.

I have to save to cloud and then use my PHONE to push it from the cloud to the printer.

How can I get this fixed so I can just simply print from the app?

Thanks!

Okay, so I figured it out on my own - the error message isn’t super helpful.

I thought I’d already connected my printer for Creality Print, but apparently I hadn’t. I had configured it for a Creality K1 Max, but not my Creality K1 Max.

Once I set it up, it worked right.

Hello @Ottonym …!

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! Creality

Thanks for sharing that solution to the “Add Plate” error.

So you had to log in to Creality to get it to work…??

I am having a similar problem. Ender 3 SE user. When I try to print from software to save to disc I get this same error message, that my printer does not support multi plate printing

Danke euch im Vorraus

Hey folks, sorry my solution wasn’t clear.

I didn’t have to login to anything, necessarily. I thought since I had added my printer to my account that it would simply be there, since it was on my iPhone app.

Turns out you need to add the printer to your desktop’s Creality Print as well for the desktop app to work.

At the top you’ll see 3 tabs: Prepare, Preview, and Device

What my problem was, I had no devices under the Device tab (I’d expected it to auto-populate, somehow). I hit the “Scan Add” button and it found my printer. Once I had it there, I could LAN print no problem without getting the multi-plate error.

Once I had it fixed, it looks like this:

Thanks so much. I thought i was going crazy. its been a couple of years since i printed anything. I remember it be easier. lasers are so much easier. The only thing you left out was to redstart the program.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. its the new update you need to use an older one from aug
