…a marketing executive weeps…
My view is simply this… If its within my budget (aka cheap) and I get good prints from it, I will throw whatever brand of filament in the silly thing.
To that end…the “Dark Tan” (Edit: correction it’s “Desert Tan”) Bambu filament is incredible. I’ve printed the same design with three PLA filaments now, and the Dark Tan came off the support structure far better than any filament I have ever used, ever. Specifically it was better than either the black or white I used to print exactly the same design.
However…my first picture was just a funny joke at the idea of Creality’s “flagship” being full of Bambu filament…especially given CP6’s insistence that there are only two sorts of filament in the world; “Creality” and “generic”…but the real reason for the the Bambu Binge was simply my quest for Cthulhu Green…and unfortunately they didn’t deliver. Their Dark Green is too “Army Green”, Their grass green is insipid, and even their “glow green”…well actually on a nausea-inducing elder God it could have a place…but I need a palette of at least two colours for contrast…four ideally, though that will involve a lot of me with my shaky hands manually repainting what is a large and complex model. Even with the " in magic brush" in CP6, that’s going to take a while - but I need the colours as first step, and so far, the greens just ain’t cutting it.
It feels like this may become something of a Holy Grail level quest.
A thought occurs…Creality provided their “colour swatch” tiles with my K2 - anyone know any other manufacturers who do the same? I’d be happy to pay for them…
Edit: I found one for Bambu. I’ll add more if and as I discover them…
OK forum gurus, how do I stop the forum changing my link to one product to a generic landing page for Bambu?
