Sonic pad lose connection with MCU?

hello everyone new to the forums, I have a CR 10 Smart Pro connected with this Sonic pad. As of late, I have been constantly getting error messages stating that the sonic pad has lost connection to the MCU.

I have moved my 3-D printer around to different places to see if that would help but no matter what I do. I still consistently get the error that it has lost communication with the MCU.

Could it possibly be the motherboard is going bad? At this point I’m not sure what else to try. I have tried reinstalling the clipper software, but to no avail…

Hi @Gthmcty1 and welcome to the forums.

I would recommend trying with a different cable to rule out the cable being the possible issue.

Hi @Gthmcty1,

How long into your prints do you get the error? Also, if you’re able to, can you post your klippy.log file?

I also have a CR-10 Smart Pro with the Sonic Pad, and it’s been giving me a lot of various issues that I spent a lot of time and energy to try and solve. Still have yet to solve it.

Thanks for posting!
