Sorry Tech Support

I have had this Ender 3 S1 for about 6 months now, bought it in July. I have been fighting Creality for the last 5 months to fix this software problem where the nozzle scrapes the print and pulls it off. Doesn’t matter how much i adjust the offset z, it still scrapes. Tech support just keeps coming back saying to send video, i do and they do nothing. I have been sending them emails like crazy. Now they won’t replace my machine, saying its been to long, way pass the 30 day warranty. It is now that they drug their feet on the problem. I’m just venting, i know they won’t replace my machine nor will they fix it, so, I’m never using Creality again and I will be spreading the message all over the social media. not to buy their products either. Whomever reads this, have a nice day.

Simple solution.
Step one: Box the 3 S1 up and send it to me.
Step 2: Buy whatever brand you want
Step 3: ???
Step 4: PROFIT!!!

So, how many times have you MANUALLY leveled the bed? Not just run the mesh

I have an E3 Pro, ver 1.1.6 and it runs constantly. I make 28 mm D&D miniatures, up to 10 at a time for sales to the nerd shops in my local area. I manually level the bed before every print. And I have the latching wheels. I still need to move them one or two clicks. I made a feeler gauge out of 0.016 mm aluminum foil to check with.
Say what you will, manual leveling works. Mechanical beats software (Z offset) most of the time.

I’m not surprised you’re having issues. Unfortunately you don’t seem to have grasped the fundamentals of the printer.
You really need to watch some videos which would help you with calibration. This link comes highly recommended and covers most initial calibration:

https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#intro

To help you get over your initial issue here’s my suggestion:
Level the bed.
Load and print a 1st layer print and adjust the Z-offset (via the printer menu) on-the-fly for best squish, then SAVE the Z-offset to the printer. Ensure that you have no z-offset value set in your slicer. Just keep it to the printer.

Take it easy.

I watched all the videos. The extruder comes down and rips the print off or tears the plate. I sent TS videos, they tell me how to try and fix it, doesn’t work. Open a ticket, the worm screws operating the extruder will turn really fast and jam the extruder down, they have video. But they wouldn’t fix it, just kept saying send video whic i did. But hears an update for you, After fighting with them for 6 months, with no luck, I threw the printer in the trash Christmas morning. And told Creality i did that cause they wanted to close my ticket yet again. Now, couple of days after Christmas, they said we got with our leader and decided to replace my printer after all this, and they knew I had already threw it away. It’s gone, in the land fill. So, now what do I do? I can’t do anything.

I guess that is about it, now.

Here’s an update. After 6 months of fighting with tech support and getting no where, i got tired of the busted printer laying around collecting dust. So, on Christmas morning i threw it out in the dumpster and it went away. I told tech support on the 25 of December at or around 11:00 am, that i did that, threw it away, the next day, the 26 of December, after tech support got the message, they sent me a message at !:37 pm saying they made a special application cause of my problem they were going to replace my printer, yes, after they found out i threw it way. And now, they they turn around and say cause i don’t have a return printer, they can’t send me another printer, after they made a special application to do so. That just sorry business practice. I’m never dealing with them again and i hope if anyone reads this, they will think twice about using them in the future.

Can you post that video here?..just out of interest…
