Despite operating the dryer for longer than suggested on the PACF setting the reading doesn’t go below 13 percent. Way above what is recommended by the filament maker at 4 percent. Is the unit faulty?
13% wow I wish I could hit numbers like that. 32% is the best I’ve done. Then, the Space PI Doesn’
t keep the humidity out and I have to dry again. I too suspect that there is something fundamentally wrong with the Space PI.
I have dug a bit deeper into the Space Pi’s design. Ultimately, it is just a convection oven. I have had much better drying success by taking spools out of the Space Pi immediately after drying, and placing them in a vacuum bag with a more serious desiccant pack. Here are the desiccants and vacuum bags I use. Maybe these will work for you too.
