Sprite Extruder Pro - CR Touch pin Shorted/Bridged on the main board.

I recently bought a sprite extruder pro kit from micro center to upgrade my ender 3 pro and cr touch.

The problem I encounter is that it would work when I first turn on the printer, its does the ABL and first print. When I try to do an an auto home after the first print it would halt and give a m112 error.

Basically the same problem as in this post - https://www.reddit.com/r/ender3v2/comments/mtfxj3/firmware_crash_error_probing_failed/

I did a sanity check and checked the small cable to connected the cr touch to the sprite main board and no problem there.

As seen in the video below I found that 2 of the pins for the cr touch on the sprite main board are shorted together. I’ll go out on a limb and say this is not suppose to be. I used the long cable that came with the cr touch and connected it directly to the ender’s motherboard and it works as expected with no issuses.

Did I get a faulty sprite extruder pro? Is anyone else able to verify this is not suppose to be the case.

Thanks.

I just checked the ender’s mainboard cr touch connection and it seems that those two pins are just ground pins. I guess that’s not the cause of the problem i’m having. I’ve tried both marlin and klipper firmware and the both give the same error when using the short cable for the cr touch through the sprite mainboard. But both works perfect when I bypass the sprite and just the long cable that came with the cr touch.
