I new to the 3D scanning world and purchased a Ferret (Creality CR-Scan Ferret - 3D-scanner | Webhallen)
I have been scanning some stuff with fairly ok results but when trying to scan my range finder this happens…
Can anyone figure out whats going on with this scan?
It has a flat white plastic surface, not shiny so it should be possible to scan, but also not so easy to scan. Maybe try better light conditions. Or more points that the scanner can use for reference, especially the width (the Ferret is made for >5cm objects) could be an issue without it.
I would maybe first try to hang it from a string in better light conditions and slowly turn it while the scanner stays in its position.
