stringing like you would never believe

my 5 MAX works excellent but for stringing

I cant stop it from extruding.

Well… you’re right about one thing… I don’t believe you… at least not without a picture. :rofl:

It might help the community help you if you shared a couple of details. First of which is the filament you’re using and the filament profile.

These two screenshots are an example of useful information:


Stringing can be controlled by temperature, Z hop, retraction and deretraction speeds. Also, what is the ambient air temperature? This is important since the printer is open frame.

Hi @user2340673193 :slightly_smiling_face: Trust you are well. @JoeFriday makes a great point. Giving us a little additional info will make it a lot easier for us to assist here. All of what Joe listed can have an impact on stringing, so if you could provide us with images/details about the filament that you are using as well as the settings/profiles, it’ll allow us to narrow down on a cause. Another big cause of stringing would be filament that hasn’t been dried sufficiently.

Provide us with the above info and then we can tackle this with you :star:
