I am scanning different parts with my ferret pro where I need a second scan to be sure that I have front and back scanned. the merge option in the scan software is super useful for that and does a really good job but I realised when I want to save the merged parts, I can only do this as a ply or asc file which is a problem because I can not import these file types into fusion 360.
I would have to convert these files on external homepages or so into an stl oder obj, which is basically possible if these converters can do it. but why isn’t there an option in the scan software to save the file or convert it and save it as a file which I can use in the most common 3d cad “common user” software (which is fusion 360).
