TL;DR; Does anyone here have any ideas what could cause a TE2761 error code when the bed is only half way up and the strain gauge has already been replaced?
I’ve had my K2 since late December. It arrived with a broken door, but was otherwise seemingly fine. I fixed the door and got a replacement from Creality.
About two weeks into using the printer, it failed to level. Sometimes it would fail before even getting the nozzle anywhere near the bed, and other times it would press the nozzle so hard against the bed that the extruder cross bar would start to flex.
I went back to Creality support and they told me the strain gauge needed to be replaced. Then they went offline for Chinese New Year. Earlier this month, I found that the strain gauge was actually for sale on the store now and its only $3, so I just ordered it. Two days after it shipped, Creality replied to my support ticket to tell me they also sent the part.
I installed the part, and … its still broken. So I sent a new video to support, and I’m still waiting.

Its two+ weeks for a reply from support and I haven’t been able to use the printer since early January. Which is … irritating/frustrating/disappointing/infuriating/etc so I’m desperate for ideas or options.
Maybe something wrong on the printing head PCB (like microcontroller or its memory broken), or wiring between the head and the main PCB.
I was just doing a google search on this error code and found your post. I’ve been in the same boat with my k2 plus for 2 months now.
I’ve tried replacing the strain gauge 2x, I’ve tried replacing the PCB board on the print head and nothing is working. I’m continuing to get error after error
I tried doing a factory reset - it then couldnt get past the initial calibration setup due to errors
I then tried putting the latest firmware update that was released on a USB and restarting - that had marginal imrpovements as I could at least get past calibration setup but would still error. Now it refuses to level and throws this error again plus a bunch of others
Support emailed me back last night and again asked me to make sure the wires are properly connected. I confirmed and they emailed me back this morning … to again check that the wires are properly connected.
I almost want to be encouraged by the fact the replied so quickly, but the lack of any actual content in their reply is maddening. Its connected.
I think, support means check the wires contuinity. I’ve saw somewhere pictures of K2 head wires broken inside the connector. Just multimeter helps. Or oscilloscope.
Maybe, will be better to return it for qualified service.
Eh, judging by the emails, I think they mean unplug it and plug it back in. I also don’t think its a wiring issue. I think its a circuitry issue on one of the boards. That said, figuring out which one and what component specifically is a bit beyond me.
I would return it if I could, but Creality does not pay for shipping for the K2. The cost exceeds the amount they are allowed to spend to generate a pre-paid label. I would have to pay for it and then they would give me a gift card to the Creality Store. That is not ideal, even if they were willing to do it. Also, the box was in no shape to keep and I don’t have any spare pallets either, so it would be quite the production to get this anywhere.
