Test loading firmware on V4.2.7 mainboard

  1. Hope I can ask what maybe a really dumb question… I want to try upgrading my Wanhao D5S using a Creality V4.2.7 mainboard. If I power this up on the bench to make sure I can upload the firmware & test the display will I blow the stepper drivers? I did this on a small CNC router that used an Arduino shield. I have not had any luck finding a manual for this board. Thank you for your help. Dave (edited)

Not unless if you supply too much power to them you can blow the drivers. Using the right board config you should be fine.
