Hi, I’m having trouble with my first layer after removing the nozzle to unclog it. The nozzle is scratching and marking up the build plate during the first layer; it keeps printing even while scratching, but once it finishes, the part is very hard to remove. Depending on the part, the first layer gets damaged, and filament residue remains stuck to the plate.
Also, while printing the first layer, the extruder (near the Creality logo) seems to be catching or jamming the filament, causing a “clicking” sound. It only stops clicking and extrudes properly once it moves on to the second layer of the object.
Is the bed leveled? If not, start with that…
I've done everything that needed to be done, but I'm not sure if it could be a system issue; all the screws are tightened, the calibration is complete, and the bed is leveled as well.
It looks like I made the final remaining adjustments today. I uninstalled the current versions and reinstalled the one I was using previously, and it seems the problem is resolved; I'm printing a test now, and the first layer appears to be returning to normal. I'll check it out and let you know the results.
How did you uninstall the update?
I have tried and failed several times.
I am having exactly the same problems since the “CR4NU200360C20_ota_img_V1.1.0.73.img
2026-06-30” firmware update and have heard others have too.
Creality need to fix this immediately and replace our print plates.
Thorough testing of updates needs to be carried out by Creality prior to releasing updates.
Sadly I am loosing faith in the Creality’s products and support.
Creality lets us test the new firmwares… If a firmware works for you, why update?
