Hi All
I have the same problem just built Falcon 2 pro 40w and it to is not reading the TF card!
Could anyone help me please.

I had trouble with the card that came with my 40W Falcon2. When I plugged it in, my Win 11 PC’s file explorer stalled for a couple minutes.
Window’s (11) doesn’t like the Chinese language user manual files. You might find that Windows file explorer stalls for a minute or two, but if you can get a directory listing, then delete the Chinese language versions of the manuals.
Copy the remaining files to another drive and re-format the micro SD. I’ve had no issues with it since then.
I would imagine that people with Chinese language support installed in Windows aren’t having the issue.

I contacted customer support and went back and forth with them. They wanted a video of the problem. I gave up explaining there was nothing to video. Windows never gave me an error, and Windows explorer just stalled for a while. How do you video that? I could have sent a screenshot of any random time and said “watch this for 2 minutes”.

Apologies for not getting back sooner it’s been a bit hectic, that time of year I’m afraid.
I tried your idea but hasn’t worked so far but it could be me this time as I haven’t been to well.
I’ll try again after Christmas and let you know how I get on.

my card didn’t work either, I recovered the files via a recovery tool called photorec, you can read about it here PhotoRec - Wikipedia, maybe it can help you too, note this tool should only be used if you understand how it works.

Hi Zolt. I’ve been reading your messages and how you have helped people with defective or missing TF cards. I bought a secondhand Falcon 2 40w. There is no card and I can’t get it to work. Is there any chance you could help with the card files please? Thanks so much. Sarah.

@Zolt. Thank you for being so generous with the files that should have bee on the TF card. I have just purchased a Falcon2 Pro 22w and of course the card is not showing on my laptop or when loaded straight into the machine. Could you please also let me know how to access the files. It would be helpful if Creality made them available online.

Hi,

Can I please get the link to the files as well?
Knowing how touching SD cards can be the first thing I tried was copying the files to my computer. It didn’t even get one file copied before the SD card corrupted. I tried chkdsk as @PapaJohn mentions but it tells me the disk is RAW and chkdsk isn’t available for RAW drives.

I had the same problem, and raised a support case. My 5W CR engraver’s micro card and USB card shuttle both became defective in 3 days. My 40W Falcon2 engraver’s micro SD card became defective, but the shuttle continued to work.

Since we don’t know what other “Friendly” stuff might come shipped on the card, I bought known brands online with a reliable shuttle.

Their support team uploaded the software for me on a shared drive, and I then downloaded it again.

With so many SD cards & shuttles know to fail, you may want to consider getting a reliable brand. The card & shuttle from Creality will fail you when you can afford it the least.

I suggest everyone who has the SD problem, raise a support ticket and insist that Creality start to use known and quality brands.

Thank you @PapaJohn, I followed your instructions as above and was able to recover the info on the TF card.

chkdsk is saying disk is RAW and can’t be used.

I have emailed Creality but no idea how long replies take.

Same here, just built Falcon 2 Pro 22w, but the usb/sd card failed during setup.

Is there a link to download the files?

Adding my voice to the choir. Started copying the files and after only 1 or 2 files the card became unreadable. Tried the chkdsk fix suggested above but no dice. There should be a download section with these files/ firmware updates etc
I have the Falcon 2 10w, if anyone knows of an online location for the files, i dont know if they are laser power specific or generic files.
