10 points if anyone can explain what in the wild world of it all is going on with this first picture. It’s happened on every print of it so far where I printed with the surface of the dome up (as it should be) and used tree supports.
So in this print, I tried using ‘default’ and ‘snug’ as the type. The result was basically what you see there, seems the first layer was ripped off with supports, unless something else happened here that I’m unaware of.
Still fighting the good fight here to get reliable, quality prints with this k2.
Thanks all for the continued support.
the first picture seems to be a local interface collapse caused by the lack of necessary support. Could you provide the 3MF file at that time
I actually am using sunlu pla meta and they suggested increasing the distance between support and i did that in another print, along with setting it to default+grid, and it just seems like improper support for those areas. The supports removed much more easily this time around and none of what’s there above (it’s an 8 hour print and just finished shortly ago so I’m posting here). The other strangeness however, is dark lines in the surface when it otherwise has such a beautiful finish. They aren’t even consistent dark lines, it’s more like little spots of darkness in a line formation.
As far as sharing the 3mf, please don’t be offended or take this wrong but it’s not a free model and I wouldn’t want to violate the author by providing it. I don’t mind the fact I paid for it, but I wouldn’t want someone putting something I had for sale out there for free.
