So before using ‘retract’ on the menu, it would heat up the nozzle, then slam the toolhead into the side rail effectively cutting the filament. Now it barely taps and definitely has zero impact on cutting the filament from that I’m guessing. Has anyone else run into this?
@Kris_Bee ,
I had this 3 month ago as well and the reason for me was the cutter was blocked by a small peace of metal from the PTFE tube holder on extruder shell. The cutter is hold back by a magnet and if there is anything in the cutter rail it cannot move back/forward anymore.
Check the cutter replacement video on the Wiki. I would also remove extruder shell and clean out any residue’s there.
Replace the cutter with the one in the spares

Thanks frank, appreciate the feedback as always. When the toolhead moves around on axis, I noticed a “slot machine” kind of sound or video game noise. No grinding, nothing horrible just kinda like sound effects you’d hear from someone winning a slot machine if that makes sense. I was wondering if you heard similar and maybe it could be related.
The PETG that was in the tube from a previous print, was chewed up like a dog had it. I removed that and all is well now.
