Transferring custom filament settings from slicer to printer

Hi all, is there a way of transferring my custom filaments settings from the slicer (C.P.6) to the printer, so I can select the correct filament at the printer touchscreen, and it’ll use the correct settings when printing a downloaded model directly from the printer touchscreen? I’m a long-time 3D printer, but only just started with the K2+, so still learning the new slicer/printer configs.

NO, The printer selection is either Creality or Generic. That is it.

I ensure I select the filament for the object before printing to ensure correct parameters as all other visual references point to printer parameters.

It would be a great idea if you could synchronise the printer with CP6 though

Thanks for your quick reply, Mrburns. I was hopeful because I noticed my printer has added an “eSun” option to the vendor dropdown on my printer filament settings. This leads me to believe there’s a way to edit one of the (many) klipper .cfg files in the printer O/S. I’ll obtain the root login password and ssh to the printer CLI, then have a look around the config files. If I do find a way to manually add custom filament entries to one of the .cfg files, I’ll let y’all know. As you say, wouldn’t it be nice to have a “click to sync” button on C.P. to sync the settings into the printer (wouldn’t be hard to do).

That Esun appeared in the last Update, if I remember right.

One of the software people appeared in one of the threads a couple of days ago.
I am going to ask him if filament synchronisation can take place.

You might want to check Filament Sync .
