I assume the nozzle is of similar construction to that of the K2, but haven’t found any definitive answer: can the stock nozzle that comes with the Hi print abrasive filament (glow-in-the-dark) without damage, or should I keep using an older machine with a V6 ruby nozzle for that purpose?
Most nozzles are just brass. You can upgrade to a stainless one but even that won’t be enough for long term abrasive material needs. The ruby nozzle is the expensive option but the best choice for those long abrasive prints.
Hello GSV_NFA,
I use a bi metal nozzle on my Q1Pro and print Carbon Fiber PETG which is more abrasive and have not had any problems so far after 2Klm of filament.
If you can find one to suit your printer, it will do you well.
Cheers.
