I’ve recently gotten my hands on an Ender 3 v3. So far I’ve been able to print about 3 rolls of filament so far. Just now I’m running into my first issues. It started with my extruder making a tapping noise followed by the printed failing to extrude at some layers and parts of the print.
My first thaught was the extruder assumably. So I’ve taken it out and cleaned it multiple times. No stuck filament or broken part was found any of the times.
My second thaught was wet filament but after swapping to a new roll 2 times with the exact same result and printing the initial roll on another printer with great results I think I’ve ruled out wet filament.
Now the printed won’t make the tapping noise but the print quality is very poor and I can see clearly how it from time to time fails to extrude properly and parts lines are missing on walls and surfaces.
My last effort to diagnose was to print the test file already on the USB stick just to remove my own slicer settings from the equation. The test print suffered the same quality issues with some layers missing lots of plastic. It was very visible while printing the infill which was more of a web inside the structure rather than the square net. It also dipped down in temperature to 195 c rather than the 215 it was set to print on.
My next step will be to swap the nozzle and see if there might be a partial nozzle clog.
Any ideas are welcom!
