I am new to 3D printing and am having trouble slicing my designs from Tinker cad. After I make me design and save it then open it in the Creality app and chose to slice all it shows that it’s sliced so I download it to a flash drive, plug it in the printer it shows the flash drive as empty.
Hello Hopes2,
Does the name of file you put on the flash drive end with .gcode ??
If not reload the .stl file you created through Tinker Cad, onto the Creality app, slice it and then save the gcode it created to your flash drive.
Hope this helps.
My .stl files refuse to show up and if I try to copy and paste or drag it from files the software won’t recognize it. If I could guess what is wrong with it, it would take me an entire day to figure it out.
I’ve had this happen when a model is just 0.1mm off the edge of the build plate - the slicer just refuses to process it. Try hitting the ‘Center’ or ‘Move to Bed’ button to make sure it’s perfectly inside the printable area. If that doesn’t work, it might be a ‘non-manifold’ issue with the STL file itself. Have you tried running it through a quick repair tool?
try saving the same file under all possible extensions, before i managed to connect my printer via WiFi, i used a USB drive, and the printer wold not see the file, until i saved it with all allowed extensions, then it finally saw the file….not sure which extension it was tho.
