Turn your switch over

The original mounting orientation and position of the power switch on the Ender 3 has always bothered me. The switch is upside-down (top half is off, bottom half is on) and on mine it was behind the power cord when you’re sitting at the printer using it. Both can be somewhat of a safety issue; if you need to turn it off right now, you don’t want to spend a second or so trying to figure out how to both get to it and turn it off in an emergency.

Here in the USA, power switches are oriented so that the top half is on. Take the power socket section completely out and turn it over 180*. This not only puts the switch in the proper orientation (top half = on), it puts the power cord behind the switch, making the switch much easier to reach.

If necessary, take the switch out and flip it over so that ON is up.

Good idea.

Makes a lot of sense and is not hard to do… :+1:
