Hi everyone,
I’m having a problem with my Creality K1 Max and I wonder if anyone has seen this before.
Error:
The printer shows an error code 2857 related to the Z-axis. I cannot find any documentation about this code, so its meaning is unknown.
Symptoms:
- The build plate does not move all the way up, and calibration cannot finish.
- Sometimes it also shows a message like “already reached minimum value.”
- If I force the bed all the way down until it overruns the limit and then move it back up, the printer recovers temporarily and works again.
What I have checked:
- This machine is not brand new, but has only been used a little.
- I inspected the Z-axis moving parts and saw no obvious mechanical issues (lead screws, couplings, etc.).
- I have not yet disassembled the belt system.
- My other K1 Max works fine with no such error.
Questions:
- Does anyone know what error code 2857 actually means?
- Could this be a firmware bug, or a hardware (belt/sensor) issue?
- Should I try further mechanical inspection, or is it better to contact Creality support?
Thanks for any advice.
