USB slot decided to not work any more

Evening. I’ve never done this before so I hope I don’t trip over myself trying to explain.

I’ve got a box standard Ender 3 V3 that I got maybe 3ish weeks ago. I’ve been printing with a USB stick since I got it. It’s in a different room from my PC because I live in an old house and don’t want to flip the breaker again. Pre recent update it was fine till it stopped working. I don’t believe the update stopped it from working because it stopped BEFORE The update. Post update didn’t change anything either but turn stuff green. I’ve taken the bottom panel off and removed the USB from its mount and nothing looks wrong with it.

I’ve tried cleaning the USB port, tried different USBs, Cleaning the USBs, Formatting the USBs, to no avail. All the USB’s I’ve got work everywhere else but the printer.

TL;DR, Ender 3 V3 no longer reads USBs don’t know why

Hello @AssBoi …!

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! Creality

Sorry but this won’t help with your USB but if you have an Ender-3 V3 with network can’t you send files to the printer over the network…?

Never tried. might have to look into that, thanks man

Yes Jim is correct, I’ve never used a USB on my V3, only used wifi, but I do use Creality Print as my slicer. You may need to root the V3 to use other slicers.
