Hi everybody,
I have my K2 plus a few weeks now and I am pretty happy with it.
But I have an issue:
My user preset filaments added to CR print are not available on my printer.
I can send the print job to the printer successfully even if the filament type configured in CR print is a different one, The it comes to reprint or reprint the job on the printer it says that the filament on the external spool holder does not match the print file.
Trying to setup the correct filament on the printer is not possible.
Btw:
I am setting the desired user preset filament in CF print in CF 1 as it does not work on EXT. Before sending the print job to the printer I select the external spool holder.
Any hint is appreciated.

I’m having the exact same question.
I want to use an external roll (its a 3KG roll so it doesn’t fit in the cfs). I’ve set up a custom filament for it in Creality Print, but there is no way to select it in the slot for the external spool.
And if you override the filament in the dropdown in Creality Print you’ll get an error that the filaments don’t match.
I know setting up Filament-Sync could help but that seems like such a cumbersome solution for something that should work out of the box imo. I feel like there should be a way to sync custom filament profiles from Print to the printer.

I have my user profiles available from both CR software as well as on the printer…
Slicer :
Printer:
so it does work, but maybe its version dependent or some sort of sync issues between your printer account & your CR account..
if you look in CR in your “My Presets” does it show all your profiles ?
if this page is empty, then thats your issue.. it all goes from your computer → creality Cloud → printer.. until they are all syncing, you don’t get your user profiles on the machine to use to re-print locally stored prints
Oh that’s good to know thanks for the info!
I do have the custom filament show up under My Presets.
But it doesn’t show up on the printer side. I’m missing a sync somewhere and have no idea how to start it
what version of CR are you using ? I don’t remember explicitly doing anything to get this working, I am on

Latest version, no updates available. Same for the printer firmware (1.1.3.13)

Must be some setting somewhere then…
Is auto filament mapping working for you ? Might be that same radio box…
That button is working yeah, I get the filaments loaded in the cfs in my slicer.
Do you have this setting Under the gear/preferences settings Icon set ?
The Auto sync setting? Yeah.
Can’t find anything else, maybe try logging out of the machine and re-bineing it to your account again…

Already did that too, there must be a bug somewhere in the system. I’m gonna set up Filament-Sync next bc I’m tired of getting nowhere with this.
Thanks for your help though!
Maybe a quick question, are your custom filaments saved at
C:\Users\[usname]\AppData\Roaming\Creality\Creality Print\6.0\user\[userId]\filament\base
or
C:\Users\[usname]\AppData\Roaming\Creality\Creality Print\6.0\user\[userId]\filament
This location
- I seem to have an ***\sync_data folder with 2 files in there
edit, ah that latter just seems to be the recent history of the app..
I logged out of CR 6 and logged back in, doing that I was prompted with
I also have this folder, but the files inside are a lot smaller than yours
And yeah I did say yes on the prompt too
hmm… I still think its somehow linked to the automapping… once that worked, then for me everything starting working properly… I can log-out, log-in, create / update profiles in CR and they flow to the machine…
I load a new reel, choose my profiles, hit automapping and it pulls it back from the printer to CR…
so its all tied to that IMO

have you tried manually removing both local & Cloud bound devices from CR & manually (or scan) readding them back in ?

ah ha.. may have it.. try running these 2 clears. In combination of removing and re-adding the printer back into CR.. I was just having a printer → CR CFS C4 sync issue.. it kept wrongly linking hyper PLA instead of my custom profile..
ran these 2 as well as removed and re-added printer and it fixed the sync issue.

I’ve done all of this. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Creality Print completely. Didn’t help. I have Go Filament Sync running now and that’ll have to do until the problem magically fixes itself with an update.
