V3.0.5 firmware breaks mac connection

Hi all, new user as of yesterday… a bit too excited to get things going.

Initial test runs using a mac and the Falcon Design Space software were good, no issues.

I then decided to update the firmware to latest v3.0.5 because I was trying to get it working with the octoprint plugin and having intermittent connection issues. I saw that v3.0.5 mentions connectivity improvements.

The update itself appeared to go fine, I followed the instructions and everything happened as it should.

And yet now, I can no longer connect with my mac. Nothing happens when the cable is plugged in - it would normally ask to allow the connection.

I borrowed a windows laptop, and the connection to that works OK.

So does v3.0.5 break connectivity with mac? Has anyone else experienced this? Can previous firmware be flashed? I can’t find where to download previous versions to try.

Thanks

If anyone has this issue, reinstall FDS, seems to fix it.

I’m using the Creality Falcon A1 10W with the Falcon Design Space software (V1.7.5), and I have to say the software is extremely unstable. It crashed on my MacBook Air (M2) at least ten times before I was even able to start a laser job.
