Hello
Since a few weeks ago I’m having a lot of problems with my 3D printer, and I don’t know why.
I’m going to make a small list and explanation of them, to see if we can one by one go understanding and solving.
As technical details:
Model: Creality Ender 6
Firmware version: I updated it the first day I bought it, just putting the official version with BL Touch. This is the one I have: Ender-6-Marlin2.0.1-HW-V4.3.1-SW-V1.0.4.9-BLTouch
Age: about 3 years old, bought new.
I have never touched the electronics (the factory default).
I have never touched the firmware (except the first day, the one I indicate, to be able to use the BL Touch).
I will now describe the problems I am having:
Turning on and not booting.
Many times, I turn it on, and it stays on the first screen, which has a progress bar. That progress bar does not advance.
I have to turn it off and on, and sometimes, the first time it turns on, other times, I have to try several times.
Z-axis distance too much after a previous printout
When I finish a print, many times, I start another one and, the vast majority of the times, it doesn’t work, I have to cancel it.
The reason is because it seems that X Z-axis distance remains “accumulated” in memory, and the next print starts in the air.
This happens even, even though I have startup GCODE where it always does BL Touch calibration.
But I see that BL Touch is doing its measurements “in distance” and wrong.
Other times, I simply notice after a while, and it is printing in the air.
In 95% of the cases, I have to turn the printer off and on (a long shutdown, more than X seconds, because otherwise, the printer tells me that if “I want to resume the previous print”, because of the security control of the power going out.
Prints get stuck
Sometimes (not many times, but recently it has happened to me several times) everything starts correctly, but suddenly, I go to see how the printing is going, and everything is stopped, with the hotend on top of the piece.
There are no obstructions, there is nothing on the part blocking the passage, nothing.
I have to turn it off, remove the part and start again.
BL-Touch does not sequence well
Sometimes, when I’m watching the print start (99% of the time when I start a print, I’m watching until it does the first 2 or 3 layers) and I see that the BL-touch sequence is:
-
- Release the stick
-
- The bed goes up and touches it
-
- The bed goes down and the stick is released
-
- The bed goes back up to the correct position
-
- The bed goes down and goes to the next point.
Well, many times I see that step 2 is not complete.
- The bed goes down and goes to the next point.
With this I think I have more or less everything described.
Can you help me to try to solve the problems and get the printer ready?
Thank you very much.
And all the information that is missing to give you, ask and I describe what is necessary.
Greetings.
