Well, rooting on the K1C was a piece of cake, no programming experience needed. It’s in the printer menus.

In order to install the functions necessary for the Orca slicer compatibility, you do have to run some Linux scripts, but for many printers, they’re canned scripts that you just copy/paste to a SSH Terminal window and select options.

This page shows the K1/K1 Max/K1C and Ender 3 install instructions. I saw a reference to installing with the K1 script on other printers, so maybe a query about how to install this on your printer model might yield someone that has done it.
