What kind of table/bench are you using for your ender V3 3 plus?

All the desks/tables/work benches I’ve tried shake like there is an earth quake so I normally run the printer on the concrete floor in the garage which isn’t ideal. My work bench is pretty solid and I store full size metal working vices etc on it, so it’s got a heavy base but still shakes. Any tips?

Hello Gasher

I’m sure that if you ask 10 people the same question, you’ll get 10 different answers!

I have 3 printers set up in my workshop/spare room/radio shack and I’ve had the shaking issue with all of them. I’ve downloaded and printed damper feet from the Internet with varying degrees of success and in every case I’ve added a couple of foam rubber sheets for the printers to stand on. On my Ender 3 Pro, I use a side spool holder as the original spool was top-heavy and shook everything.

All these things have significantly reduced shaking and have worked for me but I’m not sure if it’s possible to eliminate shake, rattle and roll completely. I’m sure that somebody on the Forum will have found a way  :flushed:

Hope this helps :+1:

Thanks for the info!

Hi Gasher,

try using four rubber balls (childs bouncing balls) placed in the hollows in the printers feet. I use balls with a diameter of 28mm and it works very well. I only print with PETG so the speed is a little bit lower than with PLA, Don’t forget to run complete self-test after this mod.
