Why am I getting this error message?

After slicing in Creality Print V 5.1.0.9484, when I try to one click print to my printer, I get the following message:

“The slicing model is inconsistent with the printer model. Inconsistency will cause deviations in the print. Do you want to continue?”

I am using the Ender 3 V3 KE, and it is the machine chosen in the slicer.

Any ideas as to what may be causing the issue.

Bad STL file? Try to look at the STL with Meshmixer, there may be something odd with it. i find it happens mostly with scanned parts made into STL. Using Meshmixer to trim off a little can fix things.

I got the same message because I changed the nozzle type from brass to steel. Using the brass nozzle and no more error message.

I’m getting the same thing. I use the same file with 5.0 and no error. This appears to be a new bug in 5.1.

I have the same error message with my K1 Max. But only if I create the K1 Max as a custom printer profile. This message does not appear with the default configuration. And even if I switch the custom profile to brass nozzle, the error message still appears, even though that is the only difference between the profiles.

Just ‘upgraded’ to 5.1 and I get the same error. Same model sliced in 5.0 gives no message. Using a K1C.

After getting that error message, I tell it to continue, and I get this error and it starts printing.

John, I get that as well.

I just ignored all the errors/warnings and it seems to print fine.

It prints fine, but the statistics don’t update on the Device tab.

I also get the first error, and I haven’t changed any defaults. It’s like it doesn’t recognize the K1C printer anymore, how soon they forget! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I guess you have to buy a new printer every few months to get rid of the errors… :unamused:

Have you updated to the latest version?

Yes, V5.1.2.9904, same errors. I get them starting up from scratch, setting any parameters I want to change manually, and then importing a model. I get the error even if I use one of the canned profiles and just import and print it.

I also still get this message when I start the print.

It’s like Creality forgot they made the K1C for whatever reason! :unamused:

I don’t know what brand my next printer will be, but I know what brand it won’t be! :weary:

John, this is not an error message. It is just letting you know that you cannot start another print as your printer is currently printing. You can not print directly once a print is in progress but you can sent a gcode file for your next pring.

I am having the same issue as of 11/15/24 and it has nothing to do with any of the below comments. I switched from a windows to a mac and that’s when this issue came up. Wish someone from Creality would answer why this is happening and a direct way to fix the issue.

Well, the slicer error is gone for me, and I’m just ignoring the other message. So far, Creality_Print-v5.1.6.10470-win64-Release.exe is working OK for me. I’m still not getting the same quality print with PETg that I do with Orca 2.2.0, but PLA works fine with the current CP release.

29 November now and I am still getting the error message that the printer mode is inconsistent with…
I am still ignoring it and pressing on.
The other message I get it just saying the printer is busy now.

I have had a few files that have vacant areas in them that are not there if I print on my K3,

Just had this message pop up. it turns out the slicer was switched from a K1 profile to a K2 profile. check your printer profile, fixed the issue for me.

How did you switch the profile? Brand new to Creality

Check the nozzle type and plate type. I saw this on a file where the nozzle was set to a K1C -.04 nozzle instead of the K1 Max-.04 nozzle.

I think as others have said that Creality just stuck this in in the 5.1 version as a status message. I don’t know why they thought they needed to put it in red like an error, but it’s not the only silly thing they’ve done. My personal opinion is that if something comes up in red it should be something that needs attention, not just an information message.
