Y axis vibration issue

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Creality Hi printer and I’d really appreciate any help.

During a print, I started noticing strong vibrations on the Y axis (the bed), even at low speeds. Also, the printed lines show a kind of zig-zag or wavy pattern, as if there’s some resonance or loss of mechanical accuracy.

This began happening on higher layers, after several hours of printing. The bed movement is no longer smooth and I hear an unusual noise, like something is forcing or misaligned.

Thanks!

A similar problem. It occurred yesterday after 8 hours of printing. And it’s also on the upper layers. I would also appreciate a solution to this issue.

At first, I thought the motor had simply overheated from long printing, but that wasn’t the case. The cause is clearly not motor overheating. It’s very noticeable how it jams if you raise the print head above 25 cm and then send the printer to home all three axes. Even when the printer itself doesn’t know the exact height of the print head, the bed still moves with jerks (to confirm this theory, you can raise the print head high on a powered-off printer and then run homing on all three axes, and then do the same when the head is low — the behavior will be the same).

When printing objects taller than 20 cm, severe artifacts start to appear toward the end. This is clearly not a firmware issue. My current theory is that the power outlet is not grounded, which causes interference on the printer frame; this interference is transferred to the flat cable in the nylon sleeve and then to the electronics.

Could you please confirm whether your outlet is grounded? Also, let me know how the bed movement behaves when the print head is positioned higher than 22 cm.
