Z axis homing errors

This problem has been plaguing me for the past two weeks. When I go to home the gantry goes up to the Z limit switch then to the X limit switch comes back down to the bed about 10mm from the bed goes to the front left corner then goes to the center of the bed. It starts to go down a couple of millimeters, never touches the bed goes back up several millimeters then goes back down 2 or 3mm then goes back up 7mm and each time it keeps on going higher and higher never actually touching the bed. I am sure that it touches the limit switch for X&Z. There is no obstruction of the belt, there is no obstruction on top of the tool head it reaches fine all the way up. I can move it manually up and down left and right without any issues. I will turn off the printer and unplug it and when it restarts I can send G28 and it will home. But when I go to print and it uses the scripts that are installed by creality it messes up all over again. I’ve modified the file G code to not use their script and to use just the Clipper commands for homing setting temperature nozzle and doing a bed mesh calibrate and it will work sometimes until I have to print and then it will error out. Sometimes I get “save Z pos error :-324.900!!!” and sometimes I get the obstruction error. I’ve reached out to creality through ebay, where I bought it, their website and whatsapp with no answer. I’m hoping to get some kind of help otherwise this is just a brick.

Hi Khisanth,

It sounds very similar to what my Ender 3 V Plus was doing. My problem was the sensors under the bed for leveling, something was not right and would stop and just sit there. What I had done was remove the bed and very carefully undo the connection to the 4 sensors by removing the glue, look to make sure that it’s all clean and place back the wires. I bought a second machine (the same) it had the exact problem right out of the box.
Here is a video that might help you to find your leveling sensors.

Let me know if this did the trick, it will take a few minuets and then do the self leveling test.
Best of luck!
