Z axis jumping

Just got my Ender V3 CoreXZ last week. Printing perfectly out of the box. Yesterday, after maybe 10 total prints, it starts printing spaghetti. Its like the Z axis is jumping up about 20mm midway thru the print. I know the file is fine as I’ve printed this part a couple times before. Had 2 in a row fail yesterday. The part itself is only about 10mm tall when complete, so there’s absolutely no reason for the print head to be 30 or more mm off the bed at any point. I’ve also noticed little bits of black debris on the left side of the printer, on the base and on top of the X limit switch, as if the belt is shredding.

Any advice? Should I contact Creality about a warranty replacement, since it’s only a week old?
