I have an old ender 3 pro. It prints fine for the first few layers but as the print gets taller the z axis seems to start dragging in the print until it starts cutting up the print. I don’t think it is the g-code since I tried switching slicers to see if it was a a g-code issue but no change. My one idea is that I had previously moved the z end stop up a little to accommodate for a longer nozzle so maybe the e steps got thrown off? I would really appreciate any input anyone can offer.
How stable is your table? Have you messed with z-hop?
The table is stable as far as I can tell. I haven’t messed with the z hop and I am not sure what it’s set at.
What slicer are you using. I use Creality Print right now but I can’t direct you to where it is at work. I’m not that smart to remember where it is and will have to be in front of my computer. Give me a day or two as I work 12 hour days and don’t even turn the computer on when I get home.
Hi
If I am correct then the Ender 3 Pro only has one “Z” screw, I would check the POM wheels on the non driven side to ensure they are adjusted correctly and are not worn and sticking.
You can do a basic check by raising the gantry up and seeing if there is any differential between the left and right.
If there is a discrepancy at height, then this is your issue.
