setting a Z-offset will cause the first layer and top layer to become uneven when using Monotonic pattern. can be fixed by using monotonic lines but still an issue that needs fixing.
the bigger the offset, the more uneven the surface becomes.
this needs attention asap, since most K2 plus out there have horrible warped beds and using z-offset is needed.
EDIT:
im not looking for alternative ways to set z-offsets.
im just letting people and the mods know about the bug in CP when using z-offset in the slicer so it can get fixed.
Anyhow, I created my own print profile not for Z-Offset (I need it only for the flat print plate with carbon fiber optic from 3rd party vendor), I use it to remove Z-Hop and to set X-Y-Skew.
Did you adjust your bed and do you check with bed mesh? After adjusting bed like described here I did not have any need for a Z-offset because my bed mesh has only 0.350 mm unevenness which is handled easily by bed mesh.
The reason is that at least new CPV6.0.3.x clears the Z-Offset in the START_PRINT macro and therefore it need to be put afterwards.
By the way, the setting on this screen are the one I use for PETG, I just printed a bed filling project with 348x348mm size and had no problem with first layer and bed mesh!
