Boden Tube will not stay in to of Extruder

K2 Plus, boden tube will not stay in top of the extruder. I replaced the tube. New tube will not stay in top.

I took it apart and nothing is stuck in the top of it. It no longer locks the tube in place. I urgently need a new extruder housing, or what not.

I have to wait till March sometime for this part to be available and let the printer just sit there not in use?

I email other issues to Creality on Friday, Saturday and yesterday without even an acknowledgment of receiving my emails from them. They had their Monday already, correct?

This printer was sold before it was ready wasn’t it?

You will need to exchange the extruder shell with the insert for the tube.
Customer Service will send you one if they answer in 2-5 ‘working’ days.
Some other users glued some other tube holder on top of the shell to continue to print until they receive the spare part.
I used only spool holder and pushed the filament in manually in the meantime.

Please clean up also extruder shell before you continue to print! The reason is that the tube holder uses some small steel plates to hold the tube in place and if they are ‘lost’ (and that’s why the tube is not holding in anymore) this small peace of metal goes into extruder shell and in some cases (at least with me and one other colleague here) the magnet of the cutter picks it up and in some time the cutter may be blocked!

“the magnet of the cutter picks it up and in some time the cutter may be blocked!”

Yes, my cutter was block. I just experienced another jam where the filament could not be retracted. It is not being cut. So, I thought while I have it apart I’ll look at the cutter again.

How does that work? I put a piece of PLA through it and tried to cut the filament by hand and holy crap, that cutter does not want to cut PLA filament. I have the extrusion shell on my bench in front of me, not gears in it. Just manually trying to cut the filament. It like cutting it with a butter knife, and that’s the new one (cutter) that came with the printer.

Oh as far as the boden tube holder, there is a genius on here that designed a printable work around for it. Works perfect.

Still have not heard from support.

Again with the cutter, they must half to really slam the print head in to that plastic post to get it to cut!

I had same problem, it’s the Boden Tube Holder Button in top of the front Extruder Housing , replace it with new one , I did , now no more problem !
