crashes after I click English, and Now no ICONs on screeen

We just got the SE about 3 days ago. I followed the set up, but it never asked me to level it. It went straight to English, then it gave me some TIP, after I pressed Ok on the TIP it would reboot and start all over. It did that about 6 times and now the screen is just the blue wavy lines and it wont do anything else. Oh and it’s RED now. Not sure what to do!

Was this a refurb or brand new?

Did you purchased it direct from Creality?

Sounds like a software error or hardware failure of the console screen. Do you have sufficient line voltage and have the line voltage switch correctly set?

It should just boot up, go through the setup process and then you can access it from wifi with the Creality Print software. From the console you can run a calibration setup for the Z Axis and bed leveling. You should also be able to plug in the supplied usb stick and print the little boat directly from the console.

Sounds like you might need some warranty help. When emailing Creality for assistance make sure you include your invoice number, a picture of the receipt, were you bought it from and of course pictures of the problem your having.

If you just send them a email saying I bought the printer is doesn’t work and the screen is red, what now? Your probably not going to get any where very quickly so the more details you can give them and your proof of purchase is going to go a long way to getting the help you need.

Also keep in mind you are emailing a representative in China so it might take up to 48 hours to get a response so it’s best to make every communication count.

Good Luck

Yes it was brand new, I kinda figured it was a software issue or at least I was hoping it was, and not something I did wrong. Great information I really appreciate all the advice, my 10 year son thanks you as well. He was supposed to get the August 2nd at his birthday party. That kinda sucks bit such is life. Thank you again for all your help!

Its a V3SE there is no network connectivity, wireless or wired. I would disconnect the screen and the hotend and check nothing is bent out of shape. Reconnect and try again. Super basic machine, that’s why I love it.

Might be obvious but make sure the voltage on the side is set to 110 Volts or whatever is used where you live…

Edit. Sorry. @Sasha_Cat already mentioned that…

Here’s a link to a :arrow_right: Trouble shooting guide for the SE…

That sounds rather unfortunate, like having to get up and walk to the TV to change the channels back in the 70’s-80’s. Being new to the game it was just my assumption that all of these modern 3d printers had connectivity. Good candidate for a Raspberry Pi interface I guess, interesting.

Yes a good candidate for Nebula pad or Sonic Pad, I had mine on a Sonic Pad and it was properly useable, downgraded it now as it is no longer required. It has had full linear rail and microswiss upgrades. 70-80’s old fashioned is not a bad analogy. Was born in 69 so I would have loved the V3SE as a childhood toy.
