So this doesn’t include the 2025 version of the K1C then? I’ve been trying to do the upgrade and just came to this conclusion. That’s quite a letdown.

@Optimus will the 2025 K1C ever be included in this? I would have reconsidered buying this printer had I known how locked down it is as far as customization goes because of the lack of root access. All this talk of responding to the community and supporting innovation and customization, and yet the newest members like myself are being left behind when it comes to using our machines to their full potential.

Hi Creality,
i would be really glad, if you support the opensource firmware klipper in a complete and honorable way!

I prefer to have open source based and community friendly printers that i can “tinker” with.

My first one was an Ender3 and based. I buy the next printer and decide against Bambbooo ecosystem - despite it sounds great !

Your K2 is in the narrow choice, because it is based on open source. But i asked in the klipper community and they told me that you use your own fork and are out of sync from the community.

That is sad ! Do you plan to full disclose your CFS and klipper adaptions soon ? That would be my person buying decision maker.
greetings and merry christmas

btw…that email does not exist. At least i can´´t send any email…

If that email is no longer being used try this:

lol - fix that email if you mean “open source” honest. fix “issues” in github too. Update code to current one and not 5 Year old one. Please tell me, that a student sat on that job …and fix it with start of new year !

Thank you all for the feedback.

I’ve just received an update from the relevant team—the R&D team is currently conducting a technical evaluation. Please stay tuned for the latest official updates.

Everyone can follow this post to receive updates and replies as soon as they’re available.

Here is my feedback. Let’s be more honest and release ALL THE SOURCE as per your “Open Source” statement.

All these files are released only in compiled form. No source. These are files that Creality added to klipper to make it work with their CFS. No source provided.

Firmware/usr/share/klipper/klippy/chelper/

filament_change.o : missing filament_change.c
msgblock_485.o : missing msgblock_485.c
serial_485_queue.o : missing serial_485_queue.c

Will there be an answer to my previous question?

Относится. У меня K1C 2025 включил
root прямо на принтере. Установил fluid

Все работает.

Then you don’t have the 2025 version. It’s well known that it has been removed from the printer menu for 2025 and the machine has a different board and firmware. What is your firmware version?

Hello again Optimus, it’s been almost a month. Are there still no updates? Why are new models being released with the root option but its still unavailable for 2025 K1C owners?
