Where do you find Creality print v5.1.6? Latest version I know of is Creality_Print-v5.1.4.10249-win64-Release.exe

Hi
From the downloads page.
Mitch

Like I said, the latest version there is Creality_Print-v5.1.4.10249-win64-Release.exe, where do you find a later one?

You can right click at the layer you need to pause at.

Make sure to reslice after doing that.

All versions here:

Creality Print Downloads…

stop hijacking my thread search would have found it

my copy doesn’t have that

You have to slice the model first and then that option will be available in the menu. Sorry I didn’t specify that first… :slightly_frowning_face:

After you pick the pause layer go and reslice it to make sure the “pause” is written in the gcode.

When the printer pauses on whatever layer you picked the bed temp will stay the same but the extruder will move aside and the nozzle will cool.

Hello @Conrad_Garlo …!

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! Creality

Walk us through what equipment you are using because it should work…

i have an ender 3 v3 se. i am using the latest copy of creality splicer. i have tried both pause and change filament. printer never stops so i can change filament. i manually pause it and change filament at the place i am guessing would be correct.

Download and use Creality Print 5. latest version.

See how that works using the instructions I showed earlier.

There is an issue with the 10470 released last week, it doesn’t allow you to reslice after adding a pause unless you change a filament parameter. The version from September works as expected

You are right @Jeremy. Thanks for pointing that out. Unfortunately it doesn’t work as expected on the newest version. You have to change another parameter to be able to use the slice button to reslice the model. Frustrating…
Another bug to fix… :beetle:
I might have to go back to Version 5.1.4.10249

The problem with Version 5.1.4.10249 for me was it was lousy at printing curves! 5.0 was OK, 5.1.4 blew up the ability to print smooth curves, and they fixed it in 5.1.6.

The middle two are Version 5.1.4.10249 on the left and Version 5.1.6.10470 on the right. I’m not eager to go back to the crappy printing of the one on the left!

I guess for now we’ll just have to pick our bug we want to put up with… :beetle:

I have the same version, was wondering whyI have to hover the cursor above the desired function Vs placing the cursor directly on the function that I want to select? Thank to all for any input

Slice your model then move the slider to the layer you want to pause at.
Right click the “+” and you will see a menu that says “Add Pause”
