Ender 3 V3 SE and Sonic Pad

Have now bought the serial cable to connect my Ender 3 v3 SE to my Sonic Pad.
I understand that I also need to make changes to my slicer I use, which right now is Cura. Tried to search for this but can’t find any information about it.

Anyone who has access to working settings for this?

Thanks in advance
Anders

There is a profile for that printer already in Cura. It doesn’t have Klipper flavour gCode though.

You will need to download the moonraker plug in for cura ( from marketplace)
this will able you to send STL files the the sonic pad via wifi.

After entering the IP address select the upload tag and select gcode or UFP
UFP is used if you have setup thumbnails in cura.

Edit: Correction - For the sonic pad you do not need the 4408 extension to the ip address.

Thx for the information. It´s seems to work.

Thx for the information. It´s seems to work. How the thumbnail works in cura for the SE. It´s work on my KE

I’ll be insterested to see how this works on my setup. 2 printers on the Sonic Pad, 1 shared IP address for the Sonic Pad. Have had to intall the plugin on each printer instance in Cura, can’t get the camera to work but that is a bit hit and miss with the Sonic pad at best of times.

cura Thumbnail setup.

Create two thumbnails one at 32 * 32 and 300 * 300

As for displaying the camera, I do not use cura to monitor the print. I switch to Fludd to control and monitor the printer.

I’ve been running it for a while now and seems to work well to begin with.
Sometimes for the 2 I started to use to do some kind of stock movement, but only occasionally.
Except today for now I’ve tried to print a calibration cube a couple of times and it
gets extremely wrong.

I’m not that familiar with rocks so wonder what the first step is to troubleshoot
or if I should reset everything and start over.

It´s the same on both machines.

That is some extreme layer shifting, might have a loose belt

Mine does that when I pick the KE profile rather than SE

I’ve looked at it a little more and gone through the whole printer.
No loose belts as far as I can see. Now it works pretty okay on 1 of the 2 I have connected.
Have double checked so I use the SE profile in cura.

Have checked everything but still get this phenomenon on some. What could this be?

did you changed the current of step motors?

Hi, haven’t made any change. I have one more Ender 3 V3 SE connected but it works as it should so far.

Hi… i have the same problem wirh the Y and Z axle when i use Creality Print.
When i use Creality Slicer with 50mm/s speed the Printer is verry slow but without layershift at the Y and Z axle. I also tried to slow down Creality Print without success
