General SparkX i7 Maintenance?

Hi all,

I’m new to 3D printing, but I know that the printer we have at work, (and Ultimaker S3,) has to be periodically lubed up with oil and grease. That machine is very different than the SparkX though. So I was wondering, if there was a guide to what one should do for the i7?

Also, my hot end has a little trail of PETG dangling from it. Do I need to clean that? If so, how?

First of all, check the bed mesh in Fluidd to avoid a nightmare; if you don’t believe me, just search this forum for all the people having trouble with prints detaching while the printer is running, suffering from plastic buildup (blobs), and ultimately damaging their printers. So, above all else, do that before anything else.

So… Are there instructions on how to do that? The video was only 54 seconds.

::EDIT::
I ran the three calibration things if that’s what you meant.

For reference, where’s what my hot end looks like at the moment. I don’t think the beard came with it.

yo got a lot to read, if you have time, read all the post i made
