How do you move the Z axis manually? And basic newbie question

I am new to the Ender-3 V3 KE. I have good print success and few blunders. Sometimes after a flat model is printed the head is very close to the platform. I want to manually move the Z gantry up so I can inspect the nozzle. Sometimes it creates a blob when extracting the filament because it is so close the print platform. How do I manually move the Z gantry up?

Also, there is no explanation in the manual for the use the extra nozzle. Is it the same size, 0.4mm? When/why would I change it? The cleaning rod does not fit through the nozzle. How is it used?

Thanks

Under Motion menus option you can move X, Y, or Z axis in either direction. Octoprint also has a feature for this.

The cleaning rod is for cleaning the throat, not the nozzle. There are needles provided for that. Remove the nozzle before cleaning the hot end. The cleaning rod is the same diameter as filament.

Make sure that the heating block is held in position while removing the nozzle (at least on CR-10s), I don’t have your style printer.

Thanks Kevin. I found the information on some Creality Service YouTube videos. I found the motion menu. I am surprised the “manual” does not show all the functions of the touch screen. I must be looking in the wrong place. I used the rod as you said to clear the throat and that got me unclogged.
