Installing new Nebula kit on Ender-3 V3 KE

The Nebula display was damaged on my KE. I have purchased a replacement Nebula kit (with camera) but am unable to connect the two.

During the setup, there is no selection for the KE and any of the 4.2.2 mainboard selections I try just hang on “Connecting…”

None of the Nebula OTA updates make reference to adding the Ender-3 V3 KE.

The previous touchscreen display was a Nebula, so there must be some combination of things that work. Any help is appreciated.

I discovered the KE has the GD32 microcontroller and was able to establish a connection using the SE w/ CR Touch machine setting… new problem, I am guessing the SE has the CR Touch probe in a slightly different location. When it attempts to auto config, it misses the printing platen and crashes the machine.

I guess I really do need a KE Nebula firmware… anybody know where this might be? As stated above, it doesn’t appear to be in the official download stream. I do have an email into customer-support… I will see where this gets me.

If anybody as suggestions, I am all ears.

Yes the CR touch is to the left of the nozzle on a V3SE but on a V3KE it is behind the nozzle, it is over an inch (25.4mm) different in location.

I do not know if you can attach a V3KE to a Nebula pad.

Hello LiTao,

Thank you. That looks helpful here for Arlen_Nelson.

Cheers.

I appreciate the response, thank you. However the KE was delivered with a Nebula pad and the CR-Touch probe from Creality.

There really has to be a way to replace a damaged pad without complete replacement of the system?
