since the last firmeware Update (1.1.4.8) longer prints always stops randomly with this klippy error code:
{“code”:“key60”, “msg”:“Internal error on command:MOTOR_EXTRUDER_RETRY_PROCESS”, “values”: [“MOTOR_EXTRUDER_RETRY_PROCESS”]}
I also have many timeouts in my klippy log betweeb k2 plus and cfs. Furthermore I always need 3 to 6 restart trys because I often get the error CM2798-z1…
It is a hardware, or firmeware problem? Have other guys this problem too?
Have you tried reinstalling the previous version of firmware and see if it still an issue? My K2 Plus had a similar issue after the initial release of 1.1.4.8, was giving me the “key60” but for bed mesh instead of extruder. I reinstall an older firmware, did a factory restart, then let it update and was able to do all calibrations successfully. Now it is back to printing as good as ever.
I did get the CM2798-Z1 error previously but that was user error getting a strand of cloth caught in the screw when I was cleaning it and didn’t notice. Couple prints later is when it decided to start giving problems. If not a firmware issue, it can also be loose wire in a connector, driver on control board going bad, or maybe just a fault in the motor.
Same error here with 1.1.4.11 and a single CFS on one hour long prints. Recent history
Failed after 20 minutes with XS2060 msg
restarted - failed with big glob on extruder
cleared, restarted, failed with jammed feed
cleared, restarted , Failed after 20 minutes with XS2060 msg and {“code”:“key60”, “msg”:“Internal error on command:MOTOR_EXTRUDER_RETRY_PROCESS”, “values”: [“MOTOR_EXTRUDER_RETRY_PROCESS”]}
restarted failed with FR2849 filament can not be retracted to CFS hub
I see these posts from January with no solution. Was this ever solved or is this K2 a piece of scrap after 6 months?
BTW - it’s nasty that you can’t copy error codes and messages - why do that to your users?
Try downgrading the firmware to a previous version. There is a sticky note on this printer: “Do NOT upgrade firmware!” It has 1.1.3.13 and isn’t going to change until more people post promising things about newer firmware.
