K2 Plus getting Filament in extruder

We purchased a K2 Plus a month ago. I had a filament jam, cleaned the jam, still getting the error saying I need to remove material, I did that and still get the error, changed the filament detection board and when i try to calibrate it, it says filament detected in extruder, cleaned the extruder again. I can use some help.

Have you tried to follow the tutorial of Creality After Sales on Youtube ? https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW9O3eZmo5E3oNf0Cy4LnULNsTooOTb46&si=aqZsgQAaE9aX1xOA

If that didn’t work, I think you may have to reach the Customer Service

Mine did this and I found the little switch at the entry to the extruder was not registering correctly. Creality sent me a new one and it worked ever since. I also found some very whisby bits of filament in the extruder that were causing problems. This was happening with PETG and when it was not cutting the filament. This meant it was ‘pulling’ the filament out when the nozzle was hot rather than a clean cut. I do not have the problem with PLA and my modified cutter.

You say a little switch? is that the material break detection module? I have already changed that. I ordered a new extruder, and we will see if that fixes it. If not, I will try Creality support.

Thank you for your feedback,

Robert

Where did you get this modified cutter?

Is there one particular tutorial you are speaking of?

Service Tutorial K2 Plus Troubleshooting for jammed filament
Service Tutorial K2 Plus Troubleshooting for clogged nozzle

Thank you Alex, I just replaced the extruder, hopefully that will be the fix.

Thank you for your quick response,

Robert

I just glued about 2mm of plastic to the cutter so it gets pushed seemingly more consistently. I was going to make a longer bracket that does the pushing but the bolts are mangled so I could not easily undo.

Yes. The lillte metal switch thing. It does not move far so is very critical. There is a tutorial on how to check it is working properly. But when mjne was wrong it just would not feed the filament into the extruder. It would get close but time out and retract again with an error
